Guiding Buscador the nervous Carthusian stallion into his dark corners.
Buscador is five and came to his new trainer, Simin Nadjafi Hinrichs only a few days before as a nervous horse, reluctant to be touched and unwilling to have his feet picked up.
Because the treatment approach I use relies on a sensitive interaction with the nervous system, it gives psychological as well as physical benefits. The horse is an active participant as I guide him into releasing bracing and tension in his body and mind. Simin was “amazed how much he opened up during treatment”. This subsequently helped support the work she had already begun to help him both physically and mentally.
Horses, like us, are multi dimensional. A combination of body work and training that recognises the physical, emotional and psychological is helping Buscador to be calmer, more confident and open to learning and interacting with humans.
This is what the Simin had to say about the benefits of treatment:
“Thank you for the beautiful and amazing treatment you gave to Buscador shortly after he had arrived so full of fear. he has made great progress since. Shortly after your treatment he allowed me to pick up all his hoofs so we could take off the too tight shoes. Now he shows us each day a bit more of his expressive movements. Your work has helped a lot to fasten the progress of trust and confidence.”
